Summary

The job is for an Associate Infrastructure Engineer at Cubic Telecom, responsible for supporting the global IP infrastructure and network architecture of Cubic’s cloud-based IaaS. The role requires Linux knowledge, VMware knowledge preferred, understanding of cloud network technologies preferred, 1 year's experience in network infrastructure support and implementation, excellent documentation skills, excellent spoken and written English, ability to work unsupervised, take responsibility for tasks, prioritize work, adaptable and flexible, and proven track record in working with small teams.

Requirements

• Minimum 2.1 degree in Computer Science or Engineering
• Familiar with the OSI model
• Hobbyist interest in technology
• 1 years’ experience in network infrastructure support and implementation
• Proven track record in working with small teams
• Demonstrated expertise in troubleshooting TCP/IP issues
• Excellent documentation skills
• Excellent spoken and written English
• Previous experience working to aggressive timelines essential
• Commitment to provide a high quality and professional service
• Ability to work unsupervised and take responsibility for the completion of tasks
• Ability to prioritise work tasks
• Adaptable and flexible in approach to work, able to work under pressure

Responsibilities

• Responsible for supporting Cubic’s global IP infrastructure
• Responsible for supporting the network architecture of Cubic’s cloud-based IaaS
• Communicating with both internal and external customers to ensure a resilient and scalable network infrastructure is provided

Preferred Qualifications

• Linux knowledge required
• VMware knowledge preferred
• Understanding of cloud network technologies preferred
