Summary

The job is for a Summer Legal Intern at Think Academy, a subsidiary of TAL Education Group. The intern will be responsible for preparing visa and immigration supporting documents, organizing and updating case files, submitting internal processings to advance case status, and performing other administrative tasks as required. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree, preferably in Pre-Law or related field, excellent written and verbal communication skills in Mandarin and English, knowledge of immigration and visa procedures, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Must have a Bachelor's degree. preferably in Pre-Law or related field (candidates in the early stages of law school are encouraged to apply)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with fluency in Mandarin and English as working languages
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Responsibilities

  • Prepare Visa and Immigration Supporting Documents
  • Collaborate closely with attorneys to compile, review, and organize important visa and immigration documentation
  • Assist in drafting and editing visa applications, petitions, and supporting letters
  • Coordinate with clients and government agencies to obtain necessary documents and information
  • Organize and Update Case Files
  • Establish and maintain case files (electronic and physical formats)
  • Continuously update case files with recent and relevant materials, information, and correspondence
  • Ensure that all documents are easily accessible and organized for efficient retrieval
  • Submit Internal Processings to Advance Case Status
  • Initiate and manage internal processes that facilitate the progression of visa and immigration cases
  • Monitor deadlines and requirements, ensuring all filings and submissions are timely and accurately prepared
  • Maintain a comprehensive calendar system to track key dates and appointments for each case
  • Support attorneys and legal staff with various administrative duties; such as, scheduling meetings, answering phone calls, and managing emails
  • Assist in maintaining client databases and ensuring data accuracy
  • Conduct legal research and gather relevant information as needed for case preparation

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of immigration and visa procedures is a plus
