Summary

Join AirGarage's growing hardware deployment team as a versatile Installation Engineer. You will travel nationwide, installing, testing, and optimizing cutting-edge license plate recognition (LPR) systems and occupancy cameras at parking facilities. Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in security systems, LPR, CCTV, or low-voltage hardware installation (Licensing would be a big plus!)
  • Proficiency with power tools and mounting techniques (impact driver, hammer drill, conduit benders, etc.)
  • Experience installing hardware in outdoor and rugged environments (asphalt, poles, garages)
  • Ability to work independently and maintain professionalism on-site
  • Strong communication skills on and off site (verbal and written)
  • Attention to detail and able to uphold high quality standards
  • Critical thinking and advanced troubleshooting skills
  • Desire to learn and build expertise in new technical domains
  • Ability to use a cell phone and laptop to document progress and test installation
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Must be able to lift 70 lbs, bend down, climb a ladder and reach overhead

Responsibilities

  • Travel independently (sometimes in teams) to installation sites across the U.S
  • Install and configure license plate recognition systems, occupancy cameras, and related hardware
  • Conduct site surveys to determine optimal device placement and wiring needs
  • Pull and terminate low-voltage wiring (Ethernet, coax, power) and ensure secure, weather-resistant connections via conduit and other methods
  • Drill and mount devices on a variety of surfaces (e.g. concrete poles, building facades, parking structures)
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in the field (hardware, signal, power, alignment, etc.)
  • Collaborate with engineering to suggest product improvements and document field feedback
  • Maintain accurate job documentation and update installation records digitally from the field
