Summary
Join Sutherland as a Work-at-Home Licensed Health Insurance Sales Advisor for a short-term temporary contract! This role focuses on selling Medical/Dental/Vision insurance via phone to existing and prospective customers during Open Enrollment (September 8, 2025 – January 31, 2026). You will handle inbound and outbound calls, gather customer data, determine eligibility, and build rapport to enroll customers in insurance products. Successful candidates will demonstrate proven sales skills, excellent customer service, and accurate data processing abilities. The position requires an active L&H insurance license and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Requirements
- Must have active L&H insurance license, valid in state of residence
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Solid experience using Microsoft Office Suite
- Reliable Internet connectivity: Internet access speeds of 10Mbps upload and 50 Mbps download – the faster the better!
- Hardwired internet connection; wireless and/or satellite Internet Service Providers are not compatible with our systems
- A quiet and distraction-free, secure place to work
Responsibilities
- Receive inbound phone calls from prospects and use your proven sales skills to enroll them in one or more of the client’s insurance products
- Make outbound phone calls to prospects and use proven, effective sales techniques to enroll them in one or more of the client’s insurance products (when applicable)
- Gather all required data; determine eligibility; build relationships and establish rapport with callers to gain trust and manage follow-up calls to ensure timely responses
- Utilize effective salesmanship and excellent customer service skills on all inbound and outbound calls
- Accurately process application/ information in sales and customer systems; and track/record outcome of calls as well as issues and inquiries requiring follow-up
