Requirements

• At least 3 years of medical billing experience
• Ability to be productive without major oversight and will be able to multi-task and refocus based on high priority items
• Expert knowledge of billing insurance, specifically with commercial plans
• In depth insurance benefit investigations experience over the phone and online
• Ability to identify plans that require pre-certifications, collect documents and submit any additional required information
• Ability to identify and flag plans where benefits apply towards deductible/coinsurance
• Ability to communicate with patients in a positive manner when additional information must be obtained to verify benefits
• Ability to identify patterns in user input data to make changes to the website
• Pro with Excel, Microsoft Suite and Google Suite
• Strong communicator, both written and verbal, to be able to successfully communicate with insurance companies and patients
