Summary

Join Manifest MedEx, a mission-driven startup improving healthcare in California, as an Integration Engineer. Reporting to the Manager of Engineering, you will design, evaluate, and implement technologies like InterSystems Iris for Health and Lyniate Rhapsody. Responsibilities include system architecture maintenance, ensuring service development meets standards, contributing to core platform development, participating in capacity planning, developing data interfaces, and participating in testing. You will also participate in agile planning, ensure regulatory compliance, and build strong internal/external relationships. The ideal candidate possesses 5+ years of relevant experience, strong technical expertise with InterSystems HealthShare/Iris for Health, and experience with various data exchange technologies and standards. A bachelor's degree in a related field is required.

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ relevant work experience in technology development and solution architecture, preferably in healthcare industry
  • Strong technical experience (3 years minimum) with InterSystems HealthShare and/or Iris for Health
  • Experience in InterSystems ObjectScript technology
  • Experience with IHE profiles for data exchange (PIX/PDQ, XDS.b. XCA/XCPD)
  • Experience in HL7 FHIR and v2 messaging
  • Experience with common tools for parsing and transformation of XML documents including XPath and XSLT
  • Experience in the design, creation, and maintenance of SQL databases
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer information systems, computer science, engineering, or software engineering or similar work experience equivalent
  • Experience implementing solutions that comply with industry regulatory and compliance standards (ISO, HITRUST, HIPAA)
  • Ability to build and maintain respectful and productive internal and external relationships, that are professional, encourage collaboration, ensure accountability, and allow the achievement of mutual objectives and strategies
  • Self-starter, analytical, problem solver and action oriented.  Can organize and manage their own with minimal management attention and direction
  • All candidates must pass a background check and drug screen

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and maintenance of the overall system architecture for the Manifest MedEx solutions to deliver the services that create value for our internal and external participants, clients, and stakeholders
  • Ensure that the development and configuration of services meet applicable standards in areas of architecture, business logic, documentation for internal and external parties, security, interoperability, reusability, scalability, extensibility, and dependability
  • Develop, configure, and contribute to the design, development, and configuration of our core platform to meet product functional and non-functional requirements
  • Participate in capacity planning activities and project system requirements (including network, storage, CPU, memory, etc.) to support anticipated needs, including specific budget and technology recommendations
  • Develop, configure, map, transform and customize inbound and outbound clinical and health plan data interfaces, specifically HL7, CCDA, eligibility, medical and RX claims data feeds, utilizing the MX toolset, primarily with InterSystems Iris for Health and Lyniate Rhapsody Integration Engines along with various of parsing and reporting systems
  • Participate in and drive multiple stages of testing (i.e. Unit, System, Integration) and accurately document and appropriately escalate any observed testing failures prior to go-live and support during the go-live
  • Participate in agile/scrum planning sessions to drive priority of backlog, level of effort estimation and determine technical feasibility of product requirements
  • Ensure our solutions meet regulatory and compliance requirements and enforce the security necessary to protect IP and the PHI with which we have been entrusted

Benefits

The base salary range for this full-time position is $115,000 - $135,000 + bonus + benefits
