Summary

Join Ithaka S+R's Publications, Communications, and Marketing team as an intern for a 12-week program starting June 2, 2025. You will gain hands-on experience in communications and marketing, including SEO, social media, and contact list building. The internship involves contributing to projects focused on engaging key audiences in higher education. You will present your work at the end of the internship. The application deadline is January 31, 2025. The hourly pay is $20.00.

Requirements

• Currently an upper-level student enrolled in an undergraduate program
• Pursuing a degree in a field that requires superior writing, communication, research, and critical thinking skills
• Strong interest in Ithaka S+R’s mission to solve challenges facing higher education
• Comfort working in a fluid, highly collaborative, remote team environment
• Ambitious self-starter enthusiastic about learning new skills
• Highly effective communicator, eager to collaboratively set goals and seek feedback
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks while ensuring attention to detail and accuracy
• Interest in learning about communications and marketing

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on experience with communications/marketing, including SEO, social media management, and contact list building
• Develop a broader knowledge of Ithaka S+R’s work through exposure to and active participation in discussions beyond the scope of the intern’s specific project
• Present work accomplished during the internship showcasing deliverables achieved and skills learned
• Support one or more projects during the course of their term
• Building lists of relevant higher education stakeholders
• Making changes to Ithaka S+R website to improve SEO
• Contributing to efforts to engage and reach new audiences on social media

Any combination of professional experience, volunteer work, coursework, or other transferable skills may be applied toward these qualifications
