Summary

Join The Block's People Operations team as a part-time HR Intern, contributing to recruiting coordination, onboarding support, and HR operations. Work closely with the VP of People Operations to manage candidate communications, track recruiting pipelines, prepare onboarding materials, and maintain accurate employee records. This role offers hands-on experience in HR functions within a growing company. The ideal candidate possesses strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and proficiency in Google Workspace. The internship is part-time (at least 20 hours/week), lasting 3-6 months, with potential for extension and full-time employment.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Communications, or related field
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and willingness to learn HR tools
  • Interest in HR, talent acquisition, and people operations
  • Ability to work independently while being a strong team player

Responsibilities

  • Schedule candidate interviews and manage communication between candidates, recruiters, and hiring managers
  • Track recruiting pipeline status and prepare regular updates for the VP of People Ops
  • Assist in maintaining accurate candidate records in the ATS (Applicant Tracking System)
  • Maintain the HC data
  • Prepare onboarding schedules and checklists for new hires
  • Assist with preparing documentation and ensuring completion of pre-hire requirements
  • Coordinate orientation sessions and help with new hire engagement touchpoints
  • Provide general administrative support across HR functions
  • Assist with updating employee records, HR dashboards, and reports
  • Contribute to special HR projects as assigned by the VP of People Ops
