Summary
Join B Lab's Global Marketing, Communications & Brand team as an Internal Communications Specialist and help keep our B Lab Global (BLG) employees informed, connected, and engaged. This full-time, remote-first role requires residency in the Netherlands, UK, Pennsylvania, New York, or the District of Columbia, and proximity to one of our offices. You will support the Senior Leadership Circle (SLC) in executing the 2025 internal communications strategy, aligning internal and external messaging, and planning employee events. Responsibilities include writing newsletters, creating presentations, facilitating meetings, and evaluating communication effectiveness. The ideal candidate is an excellent writer, comfortable with change, and adept at building relationships with senior leaders and employees.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3-4 years of direct experience in communications , including at least 1 year of experience focused on internal communications
- Ability to build genuine, productive relationships with employees and senior leaders alike, fostering space for transparency and trust
- Comfort collaborating with other communication colleagues across the globe and timezones
- Sound judgment, situational awareness, and discretion
- Experience distilling complex information into engaging and easy-to-digest newsletters and events
- Ability to tailor deliverables (written & events) to meet audiences' needs and ensure they are aligned with our brand
- Capable of delivering assets on deadline, whether that's through proactive planning or pivoting to meet time-sensitive business needs
- Experience with event management and facilitation with a creative approach that uplifts our values and culture
- An interest in learning new things, e.g., to gather and evaluate information and collaborate with others to overcome challenges, create solutions and deliver them
Responsibilities
- Supporting the Senior Leadership Circle, execute and refine the 2025 B Lab Global internal communications strategy, equally bringing to life the impact our work has in the broader ecosystem of economic systems change and the latest news from within the organization
- Partner with peers to align internal leadership messaging with external messaging and cadence; partner with team leads within B Lab Global and the broader Network to support mission-critical work
- Support the Senior Leadership Circle (SLC) in org-wide employee touchpoints, whether written, recorded (video/audio), or live (virtual events)
- Write, produce, and disseminate key communications from SLC to all employees
- Advise on proper use of channels to reach target audience(s), key messages to hit, word choice, etc
- Ensure content aligns with brand identity (visuals, tone of voice, etc.)
- Coordinate "visibility moments" for Senior Leadership Circle (SLC) members
- Suggest and enable guest appearances in department meetings and SLC office hours
- Senior Leadership Circle (SLC) Note to Employees Every other week, draft a message from the BLG Senior Leadership Circle to all BLG employees
- Track and include decisions made at meetings, big news from their departments, employee recognition, and stories of impact / examples of thought leadership
- Leverage expertise to keep B Lab Global employees up to date on the org-wide initiatives important to our mission, such as: Transitioning our community of Certified B Corps onto the new standards
- Transitioning to third-party verification of companies certified on our new standards
- Network-wide change management initiatives
- Elevate integrated campaigns and thought leadership, with a focus on climate, workers, and accelerating the adoption of stakeholder-led business models

- Lead the planning and execution of these quarterly meetings for the Senior Leadership Circle and B Lab Global employees
- Determine content for these meetings and build decks, in line with B Lab Global's brand book
- Cover updates on organizational health (finances, objectives) plus big announcements and guest speakers
- Plan and facilitate the quarterly, adjacent Q&A sessions (Behind the Numbers, Behind the Scorecard)
- Hold ownership of designing the agenda & engagement moments
- Promote on internal channels to encourage attendance
- Organize (calendar work) and run (technical work); ensure employees who could not attend have the opportunity to watch recordings/read transcripts
- Create and send event surveys to attendees
- Report survey results to SLC and improve next All Hands based on employee feedback
- Show & Share
- Lead the planning and execution of these monthly employee-led meetings
- Source hosts among BLG employees
- Find stories of challenges addressed & overcome
- Create deck, incorporating your hosts' materials
- Promote on internal channels to encourage attendance
- Ongoing program development and evaluation
- With the Senior Leadership Circle (SLC), evaluate effectiveness of events and communication channels, helping to identify gaps and opportunities to improve
- Support planning and implementation of new channels for bi-directional communication and feedback with employees, as agreed with SLC
- With agreement from SLC, sunset events and channels that are no longer needed

- B Keeper
- Plan & execute the weekly newsletter to BLG employees
- Use Axios HQ to produce
- Write or record features that highlight employee stories
- Solicit contributions to B Keeper from employees and leaders; edit those contributions for readability, style, and tone of voice
- Create visuals for B Keeper in line with B Lab Global's brand book
- Lay out and send B Keeper
- Track B Keeper's performance metrics; seek to improve readers' experience with the newsletter
Preferred Qualifications
- Supporting change management
- Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva or similar
- Video- and/or audio-editing software
- Written fluency in a language other than English, particularly Spanish, Portuguese

- An annual salary in the range of Β£45,500 - Β£48,000 based on skills and experience
- In your first year, youβll start with 20 vacation days in addition to national & bank holidays; this increases to 25 days after your third anniversary
