Summary

Join Generation, a global nonprofit, as an International Employer Partnerships Consultant! This fully remote, fixed-term contract (until February 2026) focuses on building and maintaining employer relationships to provide remote work opportunities for our Ghana graduates, primarily targeting North American and European employers. You will develop new partnerships, manage existing ones, and collaborate with internal teams. The ideal candidate possesses a strong sales or recruitment background, particularly in international remote tech recruitment or the freelance market, and excels in communication and collaboration. This role offers the chance to make a significant impact on graduates' lives while working remotely with a flexible schedule.

Requirements

  • Be mission-aligned: Believe that fulfilling employment can change lives, and are passionate about doing social good
  • Have a strong sales or recruitment background: Be able to work to targets and close deals, manage projects, tracking your progress along the way (CRM tool experience is a plus). Comprehensive experience of international remote tech recruitment and/or freelance market is essential
  • Be a strong communicator: Have excellent business English communication skills (written and verbal) with experience developing presentations using PowerPoint or Google slides
  • Have a collaborative approach: Be able to connect regularly with a variety of stakeholders. Be able to communicate project and personal needs confidently. Be mindful of cultural contexts and perhaps have worked in a role where you have interacted with a diverse range of individuals
  • Be resourceful and entrepreneurial: Think creatively when it comes to sourcing employers, know how to get your foot in the door
  • Be a methodical: Be able to build a pipeline of partners across multiple programs/ cohorts / industries. Know how to structure your time across outreach and account management, and can project manage multiple tasks at once

Responsibilities

  • Develop new international employer relationships (60%)
  • Perform research and new business outreach to create new relationships, focusing on employers / clients in North America and Europe
  • Pitch Generation’s mission to prospects
  • Develop and own relationships with employers and partner agencies, including negotiating partnership agreements and securing vacancies for our Ghana graduates
  • Develop and manage partnerships with talent agencies and other ad hoc partner opportunities which can facilitate work opportunities for graduates
  • Map employer/client segments, potential aggregators (e.g. job platforms), and identify prospects and target organizations
  • Keep updated on current trends and happenings with the employers’ sectors and communities to better understand our clients’ needs
  • Gather employer feedback and vacancy data where possible to inform our business development efforts and growth strategy into new markets
  • Participate in conferences, exhibitions and other venues as applicable to increase and maintain Generation visibility. This includes brand building at conferences, learning events and other channels
  • Maintain existing international employer and agency relationships (30%)
  • Regularly engage stakeholders to develop high-trust relationships and maintain interest, relevance and buy-in
  • Work to renew employer commitments and increase opportunities across multiple Generation professions/programs where possible
  • Conduct regular employer feedback sessions to ensure Generation understands employer issues and concerns, as well as the success stories of our Generation graduates
  • Define and collaborate on joint marketing efforts with our employers
  • Ensure that Generation acknowledges its employer partners whenever relevant and shares their brand
  • Collaborate with the Ghana freelance and employer engagement teams (10%)
  • Collaborate with the Ghana Freelance Talent Manager Consultant and the Ghana freelance support team to drive sustained livelihoods in high-quality gigwork for program graduates
  • Collaborate with the Ghana Employer Engagement Manager as they build a pipeline of employer opportunities within Ghana, and across Africa
  • Use tools for tracking and measuring effectiveness (e.g., Salesforce, freelance platform data)
  • Support experimentation in our approach to employer partnerships, e.g. agency models
  • Effectively communicate important updates and relevant employer engagement information to various internal stakeholder groups and collaborate with Generation’s Global Functional teams to achieve project outcomes
  • Support a team environment based on transparency, collaboration and support, drive to better results; empowering those around you to achieve their objectives, whilst achieving your own project ambitions
  • Share key data and insights from employer interactions with the internal team to inform decision-making and refine plans, initiatives and strategies

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working independently, with exposure to working in a start-up/entrepreneurial environment
