Summary
Join VetsEZ as a full-time remote Interoperability Analyst to contribute to HealthShare/HL7 delivery for integrated health solutions. You will focus on deploying high-volume interfaces and interoperability software using Cache Object Script and the InterSystems HealthShare Platform. Responsibilities include designing customer-specific strategies and solutions, supporting requirements identification and integration of systems using various standards, collaborating with developers and testers, supporting data validation, and contributing to test plan development. You will also troubleshoot software issues, collaborate on enterprise test strategies, and take on additional tasks as needed. This role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, 5+ years of experience with HealthIT Interoperability standards, proficiency in InterSystems technologies, and hands-on experience with VA data. Strong team skills and adaptability are essential.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience with HealthIT Interoperability standards (HL7, IHE, X12) and healthcare data structures
- Proficiency in InterSystems technologies (HealthShare, IRIS, Ensemble, Cache) and ObjectScript
- Hands-on experience with VA patient, clinical, and administrative data
- Skilled in performance, regression, integration, and customer validation testing
- Experience with Web Services (REST/SOAP), test automation, and scripting
- Familiarity with SDLC, Agile methodologies, and tools like Atlassian and GIT
- Strong team player with excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills; able to collaborate effectively in Agile, DevSecOps, and multi-stakeholder environments
- Highly adaptable and quick to learn new tools, technologies, and processes in fast-paced settings
Responsibilities
- Design customer-specific strategies and solutions in conjunction with the HDM leadership, DevSecOps team, and the VHA business owner
- Support requirements identification and elaboration to Integrate systems and applications using HL7v2, HL7v3, CDA, X12, FHIR, and other standards
- Working with software developers, analysts and functional testers to design and execute tests against user stories covering all aspects of functional and non-functional test requirements
- Collaborate with development team and/or business partners to support data validation plans for normal HDM Release SOP which includes VA mandated customer validation
- Support development of unit and regression test plans and work with the development team to deliver capabilities to the business
- Collaborate with delivery team and/or business partners in troubleshooting root cause of software issues
- Collaborate with QA leads and Test Engineers in helping define, evolve and promote enterprise test and customer validation strategies
- Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to support team objectives and ensure the success of the project
Preferred Qualifications
- Must be able to obtain and maintain Public Trust Clearance
- Background in the Department of Veterans Affairs and healthcare preferred
