Requirements

  • 2-3 years of previous experience in an IT support role; experience troubleshooting in a Windows environment
  • Excellent technical knowledge of network and PC hardware, including Microsoft platform
  • Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience
  • Ability to operate tools, components and peripheral accessories; ability to read and understand technical manuals, procedural documentation, and OEM guides
  • Effective interpersonal skills and relationship-building skills; ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment; strong customer-service orientation
  • Strong written and oral communication skills; analytical and problem-solving abilities; ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot end user workstation hardware, networked peripheral devices, and networking hardware products
  • Provide technical support to associates in local and remote locations via phone and internet/screenshare
  • Installing and/or configuring upgrade and maintaining hardware and software and data transfers on a Windows environment
  • Support for peripherals such as printers, scanners, copiers, cameras, mobile phones, etc
  • Troubleshooting LAN hardware and software that may include file servers, routers, switches, wireless and telecommunications equipment
  • Perform on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex PC problems for a variety of end users, and recommend and implement corrective hardware solutions, including off-site repair as needed
  • Receive and respond to incoming requests for assistance regarding PC and/or hardware problems; provide training and support to staff on computer operation and other issues
