Join Hippo Insurance's Polish branch as an IT Business Analyst and play a central role in connecting business objectives with the right technical solutions. You will act as the primary liaison between IT Ops and key business stakeholders, shaping and sustaining the cloud-first infrastructure. This role involves gathering, analyzing, and aggregating business and functional requirements, prioritizing potential issues, monitoring system health, and collaborating with engineers. You will create detailed guidelines for the development team and present findings to stakeholders. Success requires at least 3 years of experience in a similar role, basic SQL knowledge, strong analytical skills, and excellent communication skills. Requirements
- Have availability during U.S. hours, up to 11pm (Tuesday to Thursday), to collaborate with business and IT stakeholders
- Have at least 3 years of in-depth, hands-on experience in a Business Analyst or Systems Analyst role
- Possess basic SQL knowledge to navigate and query databases effectively
- Are skilled in researching, analysing data, and drawing insightful conclusions
- Have experience creating ROI analytics, mapping user stories, and confidently presenting findings to business stakeholders
- Demonstrate an ability to understand the technical requirements of business challenges, showcasing your analytical thinking, attention to detail, and proactive problem-solving approach
- Have a solid understanding of technology, enabling you to effectively bridge the gap between business objectives and software requirements
- Are great communicator, well adapting to context switching and change
- Have a good command of English (written & spoken)
Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze and aggregate business and functional requirements, including visualizations for ROI analysis and stakeholder meetings
- Prioritize tracking potential issues by staying on top of the system enhancements
- Monitor the health of systems that we use daily
- Engage in effective communication with technical and product stakeholders
- Collaborate closely with engineers to test, develop and employ new technologies within IT systems
- Create detailed guidelines for the development team
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the insurance industry, understanding technical workflows related to insurance–specific departments (Claims, Underwriting, etc.)
- Experience automating workflows/data through tools like Excel scripting, Power Automate, or similar technology
