Summary

Join Ada, an AI customer service company, as an IT Intern and make an instrumental impact on our growing organization. You will play a key role in maintaining and improving our IT infrastructure, serving as the first point of contact for People Operations requests. This 3-month contract position offers the opportunity to build, maintain, and improve our IT architecture. You will handle IT equipment deployment, manage user onboarding/offboarding, maintain IT inventory, and provide ongoing support. The role involves collaborating with various teams, creating technical documentation, and assisting with training. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience in a dynamic and innovative environment.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience in an IT or help desk role, ideally with MacOS support
  • Passionate about technology, especially AI, with a keen interest in learning and staying updated on new trends
  • Knowledge of computers and networking, with a preference for MacOS
  • Experience with first level IT requests such as configuring laptops, supporting MacOS endpoints, system settings, software deployment, and troubleshooting
  • Enjoys working cross-functionally and collaborating with colleagues across different teams
  • A strong desire to teach others and share knowledge
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs
  • Willing and able to commute to the office 2-3 times per week, as required

Responsibilities

  • Take on the role of first responder for IT-related issues within the organization
  • Handle the deployment of all new IT equipment and services within Ada's Toronto Hub office
  • Manage the onboarding and offboarding processes for all users, which includes the setup, deployment, and retrieval of equipment
  • Ensure that an accurate and current inventory of all IT equipment is maintained
  • Maintain and service audio-visual and other technical equipment as needed
  • Create technical documentation for new technologies and update existing technical documentation
  • Deliver ongoing operational IT support for the Ada team by responding to various IT requests
  • Assist and train users in the setup and use of new IT software and systems
  • Be available to participate in occasional after-hours work to complete projects or perform system maintenance
