Requirements
- Experience leading large information technology and/or information security projects as a technical project manager or equivalent is required
- Experience in executing all phases of the project lifecycle and understanding of project management methodologies is required
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and work experience
- Typically, 5+ years with bachelor's or equivalent
Responsibilities
- Coordinates the work of IT professionals, subject matter experts and business partners to deliver technology capabilities and technology lifecycle requirements
- Responsible for leading, planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing on technology-related projects to include accountability for the entire scope, project team, resources and success or failure of projects
- Defines project goals, scope, activity planning and sequencing, and resource planning
- Develops schedules while estimating required time, cost estimate and budget
- Develops project related documentation which may include creating charts and schedules, monitoring and reporting project progress
- Manages project-related risks and issues, and identifies specific needs or changes for appropriate resolution plans; ongoing communication with project executive sponsor and stakeholders
- Communicates project objectives in a persuasive manner that builds support, agreement and commitment; takes actions that directly or indirectly influence others to buy-in, gain trust and motivate others while maintaining good working relationships
- Establishes and ensures appropriate governance functions for projects in accordance with enterprise policies, practices and on behalf of the executive sponsor or senior responsible owner
- Manages project scope creep and escalates project and timeline risks
- Directs the creation and maintenance of required program documentation and artifacts
