Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in IT security, including experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability management
- Proficient in security technologies, including antivirus software, encryption methods, device management solutions and SIEM solutions
- Knowledge of common security frameworks and standards
- Experience with network security protocols
- Strong understanding of threat intelligence and security incident management
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex security concepts to non-technical staff
- Proficiency in using security tools and technologies, including Microsoft365 security solutions and Azure
Responsibilities
- Actively monitor and respond to security threats via email, attachments, viruses, and other methods
- Regularly scan and monitor for vulnerabilities in our systems and take appropriate actions to mitigate them
- Oversee the security of servers hosted in Azure and implement best practices for cloud security
- Develop, implement, and enforce security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Conduct regular audits and provide proactive measures to protect network systems from unauthorized access and cyber threats
- Lead or assist in incident response efforts, investigate security breaches, and identify root causes
- Develop incident response plans and conduct regular drills
- Coordinate and communicate with other departments to contain and mitigate security incidents
- Deploy, configure, and manage security tools such as anti-virus software, endpoint protection, encryption solutions, and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems
- Conduct regular training sessions for employees to raise awareness about cybersecurity best practices and phishing prevention. Provide guidance on safe usage of corporate systems and data handling
- Work closely with IT teams, management, and external vendors to ensure security policies and practices are consistently applied
- Stay updated on emerging security trends, vulnerabilities, and technologies
Preferred Qualifications
Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals
