IT System Administrator

Summary

Join TechBiz Global, a German-based global partner, as an IT System Administrator. You will manage, maintain, and support the organization’s IT infrastructure, ensuring stable operation of computer systems, networks, and servers. Responsibilities include installing and configuring servers and networks, monitoring system performance, managing user accounts, maintaining network security, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with IT staff on upgrades. The ideal candidate possesses a Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience, proven system administration experience, strong knowledge of system security and networks, and proficiency in scripting languages. Industry certifications are preferred. Soft skills such as strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent communication, and teamwork are also essential.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role
• Strong knowledge of system security, LAN/WAN networks, and infrastructure components
• Experience with virtualization (e.g., Xen)
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash)

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain servers, networks, and computer systems (Windows, Linux, etc.)
• Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and optimal efficiency
• Perform regular system backups and recovery operations
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls (Active Directory)
• Maintain and monitor network security, firewalls, and antivirus software
• Apply system patches, updates, and configurations as needed
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and provide technical support
• Ensure compliance with internal security policies and regulatory standards
• Collaborate with IT staff and other departments to plan system upgrades and expansions
• Maintain detailed documentation of systems, processes, and procedures

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure)
• Industry certifications preferred (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Microsoft MCSA/MCSE, Cisco CCNA)
