Japanese Language Lead Linguist

Summary

Join Lilt, a San Francisco and Berlin-based language service provider, as a remote, freelance Language Lead for one of our key accounts. You will be responsible for monitoring and distributing customer feedback, liaising with the translation team, and providing support to translators. This role requires native fluency in Japanese, a minimum of two years of translation experience, and a linguistic degree (preferred). Requirements

• Linguists with native speaker fluency only
• Minimum 2 years translation experience

Responsibilities

• Monitoring and distributing customer feedback
• Liaising with translation team on customer feedback and other linguistic matters
• Meeting with linguist team as deemed necessary (ad hoc basis)
• Query answering
• Internal Review support
• Lead performance improvement plan
• Testing new candidates
• Gather queries from translators to be sent to customer, and distributing answers
• Suggesting assets/guidelines update according to customer feedback
• Updating, creating and sharing TSF, supplemental reference and training materials
• Creating new instructions/best practices according to customer feedback
• Acting as the main PoC between LILT and the translation team

Preferred Qualifications

• Linguistic degree
• Previous experience in similar roles
