Requirements

• Top Secret / SCI security clearance with willingness to take a CI Polygraph required
• Minimum of 13 (with advanced degree) or 15 years (with bachelors) of experience in software engineering or software development with Java

Responsibilities

• Create next-generation software for satellite spaceflight safety systems
• Understand Java and object-oriented programming principles
• Interface with multiple teammates to develop applications
• Learn space operations and how the code supports satellite constellations and operations
• Support and plan Agile sprints to break software development tasks into logical and efficient software packages
• Work with advanced analysts and system tier support to create procedures in support of ongoing operations
• Prepare and give briefings to mid and senior level management on program increments supporting satellite and space related activities

Preferred Qualifications

• Oracle Java Certification (or equivalent)
• Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (or equivalent)
• Red Hat Linux experience
• Experience with development tools such as Git, Maven, and Jenkins
• Familiarity with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX
• Windows experience
• Strong skill set with Jira
• Strong skill set with Confluence
• Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) certification or experience
• Experience serving government customers
