Summary

The job is a mid-level software engineering position in satellite spaceflight safety systems. The employee will mentor junior developers, design and code software to protect satellites from hazards, and support all phases of the satellite life cycle. The job requires Top Secret / SCI security clearance, 5 years of experience in software engineering or software development with Java, a Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent field.

Requirements

• Top Secret / SCI security clearance with willingness to take a CI Polygraph
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering or software development with Java
• Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent field

Responsibilities

• Create software that protects satellites from hazards
• Interface with multiple teammates to develop applications
• Support all phases of satellite life cycle

Preferred Qualifications

• Oracle Java Certification (or equivalent)
• Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (or equivalent)
• Red Hat Linux experience
• Experience with development tools such as Git, Maven, and Jenkins
• Familiarity with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX
• Windows experience
• Strong skill set with Jira
• Strong skill set with Confluence
• Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) certification or experience
• Experience serving government customers
