Summary

Mindex, a recognized software developer, seeks a Java Software Engineer with strong analysis, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience in Java, test automation, enterprise development in an Agile environment, RDBMS, SOAP and/or REST web services, defect tracking software, all aspects of the software development life cycle (SDLC), AngularJS, OpenShift or other container-based deployments, Spring Framework, MongoDB, and Microservices. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related areas, and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Three - five years of software development experience in Java
  • Three - five years of experience in test automation
  • Experience with enterprise development in an Agile environment
  • Experience with an RDBMS such as Oracle or SQL Server
  • Experience with SOAP and/or REST web services
  • Experience with defect tracking software
  • Software development experience in AngularJS
  • Experience with OpenShift or other container-based deployments
  • Experience with Spring Framework
  • Experience with MongoDB
  • Experience with Microservices

Responsibilities

  • Understands customer needs and requirements; develops solutions to accurately reflect those requirements
  • Designs and develops technical software solutions
  • Determines the scope and methodology for testing requirements
  • Participates in cross-functional collaboration with other teams to determine dependencies and roadblocks to ensure effective and efficient implementation of solutions
  • Reviews and supports documentation of each aspect of an application as a reference for future upgrades and maintenance
  • Validates code quality as an active participant in pull requests
