Jr DevOps Engineer in Philippines

Summary

The Jr DevOps Engineer is responsible for ensuring the availability and scalability of Sprout's cloud infrastructure, assisting in software releases, and developing tools for automation. The position requires at least 1-2 years of experience with Azure services, CI/CD project experience, scripting skills, and excellent communication skills.

Requirements

• At least 1-2 years of strong experience in configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting Microsoft based production systems
• Azure services experiences is required (Azure App Service, Azure SQL, Azure Service Fabric, Azure Storage Account)
• Understanding of load balancers, DNS, virtual networks and firewalls in cloud environment
• Setup monitoring (performance metrics, OMS)
• CI/CD project experience. Manage, develop, build CI/CD pipeline, including: Checking code quality, Unit, integration and functional tests implementation
• PowerShell scripting for custom tasks automation
• Environments strategy understanding
• Able to work successfully both individually and as a team member
• Easy-going, friendly, communicative, positive in relations with colleagues, in every situation strives to see opportunities rather than problems
• Solid knowledge of at least one scripting language PowerShell, BASH, Python, JS, etc
• Demonstrable knowledge of scaling and managing web service and database infrastructure
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal

Responsibilities

• The Jr DevOps Engineer is responsible for the overall availability and scalability of Sprout’s cloud infrastructure
• The DevOps Engineer is expected to assist in planning and coordination of software releases into production and pre-production environments
• The employee will be expected to develop tools on the way to help automate deployment and provide continuous integration/deployment support
