Summary

Join Automatiq, a fast-growing event ticketing technology company, as a Junior DevOps Engineer. You will gain hands-on experience managing and automating cloud infrastructure using Terraform, Kubernetes, and AWS. This role requires experience with IaC, cloud automation, and Kubernetes. You will work alongside experienced DevOps engineers in a remote-first, flat-hierarchy culture. The salary is $95,000-$100,000 annually, plus an annual discretionary bonus. Automatiq is a product-led, high-growth company that empowers businesses and individuals in the live event ticketing market.

Requirements

  • Understand basic AWS services (EC2, S3, IAM, RDS, VPC, Load Balancers, etc.)
  • Have hands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and automation
  • Be familiar with Kubernetes (EKS preferred) for container orchestration
  • Have basic knowledge of networking concepts (DNS, Load Balancers, Firewalls, VPC, VPNs, and routing)
  • Have experience with GitHub for version control, pull requests, and repository management
  • Have exposure to CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar tools)
  • Understand monitoring and observability with tools like Datadog, CloudWatch, or Prometheus
  • Have experience with Python or Bash for scripting and automation
  • Possess strong problem-solving skills with a passion for automation
  • Have a minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a product, engineering, development, or technical delivery position
  • Have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Business, IT correlated discipline; commensurate experience is also accepted

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing and automating our cloud infrastructure
  • Troubleshoot and assist in optimizing cloud and containerized environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Have knowledge of Helm for Kubernetes package management
  • Understand security best practices in AWS (IAM roles, security groups, encryption)
  • Be familiar with infrastructure monitoring and logging best practices
  • Have exposure to serverless computing (AWS Lambda)
  • Have Cloud certifications (AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Associate, CKAD, or CKA)
