Summary

Join Ivanti's DevOps team in Scotland as an Associate DevOps Engineer and work remotely. You will be a pivotal member of a well-established team, contributing to the efficient release and hosting of software. The role focuses on the Ivanti Neurons for MDM product, utilizing technologies like Java, Postgres, Kubernetes, and Azure. You will collaborate with colleagues to solve complex challenges and improve processes. This is a junior role offering opportunities for growth and learning within a supportive team environment.

Requirements

  • A bachelorโ€™s degree in computer science or the equivalent
  • Comfortable writing code in your IDE as part of a team
  • Some knowledge of DevOps practices such as CI/CD and DORA metrics
  • Code authoring and writing reusable, maintainable code in version control
  • Experience using CI Servers / Runners. In MDM we use GitHub Actions as our primary runner
  • Evidence of learning new coding techniques and technologies
  • Generating documentation using UML and diagrams

Responsibilities

  • Work on items given to you by your line manager to help our teams fulfil the definition of done
  • Write IaC pipelines to provision infrastructure in our public cloud accounts
  • Develop deployment pipelines that install services onto the public cloud using EKS & EKS as well as other cloud native technologies
  • Maintain our layered testing deployment pipelines and infrastructure
  • Develop pipelines that use versioned scripts / definitions to build and test software components
  • Build tooling that helps us automate and comply with security requirements / certifications
  • Follow industry best practice and Ivanti guidelines to standardise implementation
  • Identify bottlenecks in our processes and work with your peers to improve these
  • Participate in discussions / code review so the team โ€œlevels upโ€ together
  • Develop and maintain software used internally
