Requirements
- A basic understanding of digital currencies
- 1+ years of experience with fraud investigation in a related field
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Strong grasp of fraud-related internal systems and tools and/or previous experience in financial crime investigations or similar
- Must be comfortable to multi-task, be reliable, collaborative, and be able to make difficult decisions in a timely manner
Responsibilities
- Assists in the collection of evidence, documentation, and information to support fraud incidents, fraud cause submissions, documentation for law enforcement, etc
- Learn to document and preserve case decisions and actions based on fraud risk, supported by facts and evidence
- Investigate cases from select fraud queues such as rule blocks, internal fraud alerts, external partner alerts, fraud monitoring systems, with supervision and guidance from tenured fraud investigators
- Comfortable with using internal systems and fraud tools to arrive at an accurate decision
- Assist in assigned ad-hoc fraud projects, under the supervision of more senior team members
- Take ownership of fraud and scam-related tickets from initial contact through to resolution, ensuring timely and empathetic responses throughout the process
- Work to improve support processes and communications for individuals affected by scams or internal investigations, with a focus on restoring trust and clarity
- Respond to customer-initiated requests with professionalism, urgency, and a fraud-aware lens
- Proactively reach out to customers when needed to clarify investigations, request additional information, or provide fraud-related support and guidance
