Requirements
- Bachelor of law or qualification to practice law in Canada
- 2-3 years of legal experience (in-house experience is a plus, but not required)
- Strong understanding of and experience in employment law
- Proactive, autonomous, and adaptable, with a strong desire for continuous learning and professional growth
- Capable of working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and effectively within a team
- Fluency in English is required
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive legal support to various internal departments
- Collaborate with in-house and external legal teams as needed
- Draft and negotiate commercial agreements
- Implement proactive strategies to mitigate legal risks and prevent disputes
- Offer legal advice to the Company
- Partner with business teams to deliver practical, business-oriented legal solutions
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of legal templates, guidelines, playbooks, and processes
- Participate in various cross-functional projects
