Senior Accountant

Requirements

• 5-8 years of professional accounting experience, with some in-house experience
• Strong understanding of German GAAP (HGB) and tax compliance, including VAT and corporation tax
• Proficiency in accounting systems and ERP platforms, plus excellent skills in Excel and other MS tools
• A proactive, detail-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to mentor junior team members and collaborate across departments
• Fluency in both English and German

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and submit financial statements that align with German GAAP (HGB) standards, and support in the preparation and execution of the annual audit process for group and stand alone entities
• Support tax compliance by preparing VAT, corporation tax, and wage tax filings
• Develop, document, and maintain internal controls
• Drive innovation in our accounting processes through automation, system improvements, and best practices
• Oversee reconciliations for revenue recognition, accounts receivable, and fixed assets, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Collaborate with the FP&A team to enhance reporting accuracy, enabling data-driven decision-making
