Summary

The Infrastructure team at Dun & Bradstreet is seeking a skilled engineer to manage and monitor their infrastructure systems. The role involves managing incidents related to datacenters, hardware, software, servers, AD/DNS, backups, and supporting tools and processes. Responsibilities include maintaining operating systems, ensuring availability, handling security patches and tasks, and collaborating with team members and other departments.

Requirements

  • Work experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting Linux/UNIX based environments
  • Knowledge of Ubuntu/Linux administration and architecture
  • Experience in system engineering as well as building up and maintaining IT infrastructure
  • Scripting skills preferable in Python
  • Experience in handling Virtual Machines
  • Experience in patch management
  • Experience with monitoring systems (Splunk/Zabbix)
  • Automation experience
  • Basic networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP, logs, network structures and technology)
  • Experience in working with virtual teams (spread all over Europe) and helping out in projects
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Being a team player and self-going
  • Be willing to adapt to new technologies and have the interest of investigating new technologies and solutions
  • Fluent in English
  • Eager to learn new technologies

Responsibilities

  • Managing and monitoring all the installed systems and infrastructure
  • Installing, configuring, testing and maintaining operating systems
  • Ensuring the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
  • Maintaining the backup and redundancy strategies
  • Providing 2nd and 3rd level of support
  • Liaising with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
  • Registering and Solving incidents and problems
  • Troubleshooting the issues that are reported regarding our Infrastructure environments
  • Being customer friendly to our internal and external customers
  • Automation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Open for travel
  • Open for flexible working hours (evening work and service weekend work)
  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
  • Certificates in GCUX/LPI or similar certification
  • Cloud experience preferable GCP
  • Have a security interest
  • Being quality-oriented
  • Being curious and flexible
  • Experience of working with on call
