Summary

Requirements

• A foundational understanding of software testing methodologies, test planning, and test case design, with a willingness to learn and apply these principles effectively in testing activities under the guidance of senior QA engineers
• Basic familiarity with testing tools such as TestRail (or similar test management tools) for organizing and managing test cases, and a readiness to gain hands-on experience with other relevant tools for manual and automated testing
• Displays strong logical and analytical thinking skills, enabling them to analyze and resolve technical issues efficiently while seeking guidance from senior team members when needed
• Some exposure to Agile development methodologies and practices, with an interest in learning and adapting QA practices within Agile frameworks, and collaborating effectively within Agile teams
• Clear communication skills, capable of conveying ideas and technical concepts effectively to team members, stakeholders, and management, while being open to feedback and guidance to improve communication skills over time
• Awareness of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) environments, with a basic understanding of relevant tools and processes for software delivery pipelines, and a readiness to learn and contribute to these processes under supervision

Responsibilities

• Assisting in the design and implementation of test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate the functionality, usability, and performance of software application components
• Gaining exposure to executing test cases manually and utilizing automated testing tools to identify bugs, defects, and inconsistencies in software products
• Assisting in troubleshooting technical issues and system failures, to ensure timely resolution and minimal impact on project timelines
• Supporting the maintenance of thorough documentation of test plans, test cases, and test results, to ensure traceability and effective communication within the team
