Summary

The Senior QA Engineer will be responsible for assessing software quality through automation testing and ensuring all processes are well documented. They will collaborate with stakeholders, product managers, and engineers to develop effective strategies and test plans. The engineer will create and execute test cases throughout the development cycle and report bugs and errors to development teams. They will also help troubleshoot issues and identify root causes and conduct pre and post-release testing.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in Computer Science or a related technical field is preferred
  • At least 5 years of experience in QA Engineer position, with vast automation experience
  • Automation testing experience with Appium and/or Playwright (or any other test automation tool)
  • Experience with project management and test management tools (e.g. Jira, AIO, TestRail, Zephyr, Xray…)
  • Experience with API testing tools such as SOAPUI, Postman (experience with automation of APIs testing is a plus)
  • Experience with version control systems and CI/CD tools (Github Actions, Jenkins…)
  • Familiarity with basic test case management tools and version control systems
  • Full understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) principles
  • Solid understanding of QA processes, best practices, testing techniques, and methodologies
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies, tools, and processes

Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze system specifications
  • Work directly with appropriate stakeholders and development to understand project objectives and approaches of software development projects
  • Develop effective strategies and test plans in collaboration with product managers and engineers
  • Create and execute test cases throughout the development cycle
  • Create reports to document testing phases and defects
  • Report bugs and errors to development teams
  • Help troubleshoot issues and identify root causes
  • Conduct pre and post-release/post-implementation testing
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Develop and execute automation tests and integrate with existing CI/CD pipeline and test management tools
