Junior Software Security Consultant

Join our innovative technology company as a Junior Security Consultant. You will support the identification of security vulnerabilities within software and assist in ensuring that security best practices are integrated throughout the development process.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
• Some hands-on experience in security static analysis or a related security role
• Basic understanding of secure coding practices and software development lifecycle
• At least some knowledge of authentication, authorization, communication protocols and basics in code architecture
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, C#, or JavaScript
• Knowledge of common security vulnerabilities (e.g., OWASP Top Ten) and remediation techniques
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Conduct manual code reviews, static code analysis, and utilize internal tools to identify and report security vulnerabilities, including potential exploits and security flaws in codebases
• Collaborate with development teams to offer guidance on secure coding practices and recommend effective remediation strategies
• Participate in code review processes, providing security-centric feedback and insights
• Prepare comprehensive reports and documentation outlining findings, along with actionable recommendations for improvement

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, OSCP, CSSLP)
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS)
