Summary
Join Wowza Media Systems as a Jr. Technical Support Engineer and provide exceptional customer support for our media streaming products. You will troubleshoot technical issues, work within defined SLAs, and continuously learn about media streaming. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve customer experiences and adapt to various work hours as needed. This role requires strong communication and troubleshooting skills, experience in a service desk environment, and familiarity with various operating systems and platforms. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with Wowza products and a willingness to work flexible shifts. Wowza offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
Requirements
- 1+ years of relevant technical support experience
- Experience supporting external customers in a Service Desk or helpdesk environment
- Familiarity with SLA-driven support environments
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Exposure to live/on-demand streaming and media players
- Basic troubleshooting skills in network environments
- Experience using or supporting Windows, Linux, MacOS, iOS, Android, and VMware
- Basic knowledge of web or scripting languages (e.g., Java, XML, HTML, JavaScript)
- Exposure to web servers (HTTP) and cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)
Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer support with a “customer-obsessed” mindset
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to Wowza’s media streaming products
- Work within defined SLAs, KPIs, and productivity metrics
- Continuously learn and deepen your knowledge of media streaming and Wowza’s platform
- Provide feedback on support processes and documentation
- Collaborate cross-functionally to improve customer experiences
- Adapt to non-traditional work hours or shifts as needed
- Operate effectively in a remote, self-managed environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with Wowza products and services
- Willingness to work flexible shifts (including evenings or weekends)
- Strong self-discipline and ability to work independently fro
