This role involves frequent travel to rural areas for field research, offering a dynamic opportunity to make a significant impact on the agricultural community and the agri-tech ecosystem. You will be responsible for research operations and analyzing data to provide actionable insights.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Psychology, Anthropology, Design, Social Sciences, HCI or a related field)
  • 1-3 years of experience in UX research or related fields
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in research operations, including participant recruitment, scheduling, data organization, and managing research tools, with the ability to streamline workflows and support efficient study execution
  • Experience in qualitative and quantitative research methods (interviews, surveys, usability testing, etc.)
  • Ability to assist in creating journey maps, affinity maps and other UX research artefacts
  • Ability to analyze and synthesize data to extract actionable insights
  • Proficiency in at least one Indian languages such as Hindi, Bengali, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam (in addition to English)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Empathy for the users and an understanding of their challenges

Responsibilities

  • Conduct user research across a wide range of projects, from farmer-facing apps to our expanding SaaS and data solutions for agri-tech, insurance companies, banks, and more
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and engineers, to ensure that our digital products are user-centered and meet the diverse needs of our users
  • Assist in creating journey maps, affinity maps and other UX research artefacts
  • Analyze and synthesize data to extract actionable insights
  • Conduct research operations, including participant recruitment, scheduling, data organization, and managing research tools, with the ability to streamline workflows and support efficient study execution

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in primary and secondary research
  • Familiarity with agricultural practices and the challenges or prior experience working in the agriculture sector, rural development, or related research domains
  • Knowledge of tools like Figma, Miro, or similar design collaboration platforms
  • Understanding of quantitative research methods and data analysis
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
  • Proficiency in tools like Notion, Asana, Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and research tools (like SurveyMonkey, Qualtrics, Maze, UXCam, Dovetail, etc.)
