Summary

Join CookUnity's People Team as a Learning & Development Specialist to design and execute impactful learning experiences. You will work closely with the Director of Talent to develop and implement a comprehensive learning and development strategy for corporate employees. This role involves creating engaging training programs, managing the LMS, optimizing onboarding, and supporting internal mobility initiatives. You will also be responsible for evaluating program effectiveness and staying ahead of industry trends. As the first dedicated L&D professional, you will play a key role in shaping CookUnity's learning culture. This is a remote position offering a competitive benefits package.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in Learning & Development, with a focus on designing, curating, and facilitating impactful learning experiences
  • Demonstrated experience managing learning programs using LMS platforms, with advanced proficiency in LMS content management and analytics
  • Strong skills in program design, training content curation, and development, utilizing diverse delivery modes (hybrid, virtual, video-based, and online learning)
  • Proven ability to assess business learning needs and develop strategic proposals to address skill gaps and support growth
  • Expertise in adult learning theories and application to create engaging, interactive training environments
  • Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to balance multiple projects at various stages of design and delivery
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and build relationships at all levels
  • Digitally savvy, with proficiency in tools such as Google Suite, LMS platforms, and other educational technologies
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with a passion for delivering high-quality learning experiences
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Human Resources, Education, or related field; equivalent experience will be considered

Responsibilities

  • Create and roll out dynamic, blended learning solutions, leveraging adult learning theories to foster interactive and engaging experiences
  • Curate relevant content from external platforms and research market offerings to recommend training solutions aligned with business needs
  • Partner with leaders and teams to assess learning needs, identify skill gaps, and propose tailored development solutions
  • Build business cases for new programs and tools based on research, trends, and company priorities
  • Revamp and enhance onboarding training to ensure new hires transition smoothly into their roles, equipped with the knowledge and tools needed to succeed
  • Own and manage a calendar that supports continuous learning and development across the organization—including trainings, internal workshops, and company-wide special events (e.g., Women’s Month, Pride, etc.)
  • Maintain and update content within the Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Track training completion, analyze usage data, and ensure courses remain relevant and engaging
  • Help manage and enhance internal mobility processes by promoting visibility of career growth opportunities, supporting internal job postings, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure employees are aware of and empowered to pursue internal development paths
  • Measure the effectiveness of courses and programs through feedback surveys, data analysis, and other evaluation methods
  • Provide actionable insights to improve training outcomes
  • Keep up-to-date with advancements in educational technologies, micro and social learning, and emerging AI tools
  • Leverage AI to enhance learning initiatives, creating personalized, scalable, and innovative training strategies
  • Design training materials such as presentations, manuals, handouts, e-learning modules, and videos
  • Ensure content is tailored to different learning styles and remains current with evolving industry trends
  • Partner with subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure technical accuracy and relevance of learning content
  • Assist in executing the L&D strategy for corporate employees, aligning learning initiatives with organizational goals

Preferred Qualifications

  • Curiosity, interest, and, ideally, experience using AI tools to enhance learning deliverables and outcomes, such as creating personalized learning paths, automating content delivery, or analyzing training effectiveness
  • Exposure or experience with DEI initiatives and creating inclusive learning environments is a strong plus
