Lead Backend Engineer

Requirements

• 8+ years minimum experience developing large-scale software
• 4+ years in a role leading teams, creating technical solutions, making key technical decisions, and building large features
• 4+ years working with Node.js
• Experience architecting at least 2 large-scale software projects or architecting large feature sets for existing software
• Must have bilingual or native English proficiency
• Should be in or be willing to work until 3 pm CST

Responsibilities

• Lead other experienced engineers
• Communicate well with technical and non-technical people
• Architect large-scale, enterprise codebases
• Build large functionality and systems, with a strong focus on backend development
• Determine how new features should be built
• Collaborate with the other tech leads on core product decisions and architecture

Preferred Qualifications

• NestJS experience
• Knowledge of AWS infrastructure
• FinTech (mobile banking, payments, deposits, transactions, etc)
• Okta, Plaid, Stripe
• Amazon Developer Certifications
