Lead KYC Risk Program Manager

Summary

Join Mercury's team as a Lead KYC Risk Program Manager and play a critical role in supporting and scaling our operations function. Reporting to the Head of KYC, you will lead high-impact KYC risk initiatives, enhance compliance programs, and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure effective and compliant operations. Partner with teams across Operations, Risk Strategy, Product, and Compliance to design and implement scalable programs for operational excellence. You will translate strategy into execution, building frameworks, processes, and tools for a fast-growing organization. The role involves program management, operational support, change management, stakeholder collaboration, training and development, and issue management. Requirements

• 5– 10+ years of experience in KYC, AML, compliance, or risk management, preferably in a financial services or fintech environment
• Proven experience managing KYC risk programs or projects in a high-volume operations setting
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; experience with data analytics a plus
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving regulatory environment

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of KYC-related programs across operations, including policy updates, process enhancements, and quality assurance efforts
• Partner with operations teams to ensure seamless integration of KYC controls and tools into workflows
• Drive implementation of operational changes, upgrades, and process optimizations with minimal disruption to daily operations
• Act as a key liaison between Strategy, Product, Eng Compliance, and other business units to ensure a coordinated and consistent approach to KYC operations
• Develop and deliver KYC risk training for operations personnel to foster a strong compliance culture
• Identify, assess, and remediate issues, including root cause analysis and action planning
