Summary
Join Brightline, a leading behavioral health platform, as a Lead Product Design Researcher. You will drive user understanding and craft online and in-person member and provider experiences. This role involves end-to-end design for products impacting coaches, clinicians, and families. You will collaborate with Product, Engineering, Clinical Programs, and Marketing teams. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience designing digital products and conducting user research. Requirements
- A passion for our mission to redefine behavioral health for children and their families
- 5+ years of experience designing successful digital products and design systems for consumer audiences
- Experience in designing, implementing, synthesizing and championing both evaluative and generative user research
- Exceptional skills in collaboration and cross-functional partnership
- Ability to comfortably navigate complex flows and uncover hidden edge cases
- Outstanding written and verbal communication of design rationales and research results
- Ability to size and prioritize requests and identify projects of value
- Self-initiated drive to jump into all aspects of design as is critical in a start-up
- A humble attitude and ability to partner collaboratively with others
- A commitment to promote our initiatives around diversity, equity, and inclusion
Responsibilities
- Advance our culture of user feedback through research and develop a keen understanding of the kids, families, and clinicians we serve
- Be relentless in finding solutions that meet user needs, synthesizing insights and tying them back to the big picture
- Partner closely with Product, Clinical, and Ops to articulate forward-leaning solutions grounded in deep user insights and empathy
- Collaborate with teams to define experience-driven solutions that align with business goals and user needs
- Design intuitive, accessible, and delightful virtual and in-person experiences by developing workflows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs
- Ensure consistency and usability across our product ecosystem
- Establish measurable criteria for our user experience to learn and improve designs
- Ensure that product enhancements are data-driven and improve overall usability
- Adept at balancing short-term execution with long-term vision
- Able to identify high-impact opportunities, prioritize initiatives based on user and business value, and drive projects forward in a fast-paced startup environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in health care or mental health
- Service design experience for digital and brick-and-mortar services
