Join SimplePractice as a Lead Product Designer to spearhead the design of our innovative AI-powered Clinical Assistant toolset. You will play a pivotal role in enhancing clinical documentation, decision support, and care delivery within the behavioral health industry. This leadership position demands expertise in designing for AI/ML-powered products, creating clinician-focused interfaces, and navigating complex design challenges. You will collaborate with product management, engineering, and clinical stakeholders to translate cutting-edge AI capabilities into elegant design solutions. The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of product design experience and advanced skills in Figma.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of product design experience in a product or design-focused tech company
- Advanced in Figma
- Strong foundation in UI and interaction design with special attention to detail, including strong writing skills for product copy and microcopy
- Ability to rapidly iterate and produce multiple design concepts , including conducting user testing to validate design decisions
- Capable of time management and meeting deadlines
- A creative thinker who has lots of ideas and sees solutions when most would not
- A portfolio demonstrating creative problem solving, innovative solutions and clean visual aesthetic
- Self-motivated attitude with the ability to work in a fast-paced, strong work ethic, sense of urgency and accountability
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate thoughtful and impactful design leadership through crafting strategic design vision, refining design processes, and contributing to culture
- Collaborate within a cross-functional team to design and deliver user-centered solutions for our EHR platform and small business tools
- Create and iterate on information architecture, user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity prototypes
- Conduct and analyze user research to inform design decisions and improve user experiences
- Develop and maintain consistent design patterns and guidelines across our products
- Write clear, concise, and user-friendly content for product interfaces and user journeys
- Advocate for user needs and balance them with business objectives
- Mentor junior designers and contribute to the growth of the Experience Design team
- Present design work to stakeholders and incorporate feedback effectively
