Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in project management, with a record of delivering projects on time and within budget, preferably in transit, energy, or environmental sectors
- Strong organizational skills, with the capacity to manage multiple projects and priorities concurrently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead teams and build positive relationships with diverse stakeholders as well as present on solutions and advancements around zero-emission transportation
- A sound working knowledge of software such as Microsoft Office and project management solutions such as Monday
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues, assess risk, and develop innovative solutions
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage comprehensive project plans that include timelines, milestones, budgets, and resource allocations for zero-emission transit projects
- Lead and coordinate project teams, ensuring alignment with project goals and clear communication across functional areas
- Monitor project progress, identifying potential risks and implementing mitigation strategies to keep projects on track and aligned with sustainability goals
- Communicate regularly with stakeholders—including transit agencies, OEMs, and regulatory entities—to provide updates on project status, milestones, and any issues
- Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards, regulatory requirements, and are completed on time and within budget
- Drive continuous improvement in project management processes, applying lessons learned to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in future projects
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with zero-emission technologies and transit agency operations is highly desirable
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Environmental Science, Engineering, Urban Planning, or a related field
- Minimum of 5-7 years experience managing zero-emission projects, preferably within transit, energy, or environmental sectors
