Summary

Join Structural Integrity Associates (SIA) as a Lead Auditor and play a critical role in ensuring the effective implementation of our quality assurance program. You will conduct audits, perform surveillances, and lead internal and supplier quality assurance audits. This position also involves contract review, project closeout support, and corrective action program support. You will need extensive experience with nuclear quality assurance and auditing. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and five years of nuclear experience, or Associate’s degree and seven years of nuclear experience
  • Extensive experience with 10 CFR 50, Appendix B and NQA-1
  • Problem solving, critical thinking, self-starter, with effective written and verbal communication

Responsibilities

  • Plan and conduct comprehensive NQA-1 audits of nuclear processes to verify compliance with regulations, standards, and implementing procedures
  • Perform surveillances to monitor compliance with quality assurance standards
  • Follow-up on audit findings to ensure effective implementation of corrective actions
  • Liaise with organizational stakeholders to manage the corrective action process
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of quality program and procedures
  • Maintain certification as Lead Auditor in accordance with NQA-1
  • Review project packages against requirements in support of contract review and project closeout
  • Review calibration records to support project activities
  • Update approved suppliers list, performing annual and triennial updates, as applicable, to maintain associated supplier information

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with the implementation of 10 CFR Part 21
  • Knowledge of commercial grade dedication
  • Familiarity with quality assurance program development, maintenance, and implementation
  • Experience in an operating quality assurance organization
  • Skilled in leading NIAC or NUPIC audits
  • Experience with customer audits
  • Knowledge in the performance of quality control inspections
  • At least five years of experience in leading nuclear quality assurance audits
