Join Blue Coding as a Lead QA Automation Engineer and work remotely from anywhere in the Americas! This role involves designing, developing, and supporting an automation framework, executing automated tests, troubleshooting issues, mentoring junior engineers, and driving continuous improvement of QA standards. You will work with a market-leading client in the technology services sector, collaborating on projects from design to implementation. The ideal candidate is independent, a great communicator, a problem solver, and has strong attention to detail. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- 6+ years of experience testing (manual and automated)
- Experienced in defining and implementing the automation framework
- Proficiency with GitHub actions, playwright, and Qase
- Desire to define and own overall QA strategy
- Knowledge of Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tools, principles and best practices
- Fluent in driving continuous improvement of QA standards, tools, and processes in the department
- Experience designing, building and supporting test cases using test management tools
- Comfortable and experienced working in an Agile SCRUM environment
- Experience with bug tracking and task management software (i.e. Jira)
- Desire to solve challenging problems by delivering quality software at scale
- Experience monitoring QA metrics and communicating trends with product stakeholders
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- Strong listening skills, self-directed, with a commitment to continuous learning
- Experience mentoring on quality standards and motivating teammates
- Collaborative team player, dedicated to supporting peers' success
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and support an automation framework utilizing new or existing tools to maximize the efficiency of QA resources and improve the quality of the platform and customer satisfaction
- Execute automated tests and analyze results to identify and report defects
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automated test scripts and test environments
- Mentor talented software quality analysts and engineers, creating an effective and efficient test automation process that serves all stakeholders
- Drive continuous improvement of QA standards, tools, and processes in the department to improve the quality of the platform and customer and patient satisfaction
- Participate in refining requirements and the test automation design for technology solutions
- Proficiency in client-server API testing via Bruno and component testing via storybook
- Oversee and redefine the manual testing process in alignment with new stories/requirements
