Lead, Technical Account Management

Summary
Join Obsidian Security's Technical Account Management team as a leader, managing a significant portion of the US business. This role demands a strong technical background and business acumen, requiring experience leading teams to success within complex large enterprises. You will evangelize and implement Obsidian, collaborating with engineering, product, and GTM teams. Responsibilities include providing input to strategic programs, establishing operational goals, delegating assignments, promoting team behavior, coaching the TAM team, and supporting customer pursuits. Close collaboration with customers to identify SaaS security gaps and work with product teams to address them is crucial. The ideal candidate possesses experience hiring and building world-class technical teams, a consultancy background in internet and security technologies, and direct management experience.
Requirements
- Experience hiring/building and defining roles for a world-class technical teams up to 15 members
- Direct management experience (3 years minimum) with demonstrated leadership in improving management of costs, methods, and staffing
- 10+ years experience in a technical role involving networking or information security
Responsibilities
- Provide input to the organizations strategic programs and lead these with the team
- Establish operational goals and work plans and delegate assignments to your team
- Promote behavior, motivate, and above all, support the existing TAM team β coach them, contribute to customer pursuits and work with the Customer Success team to support project and engagement plans with your clients
- Work closely with our customers to identify gaps in their SaaS security practice and work with Product teams internally to help address those
Preferred Qualifications
Our preference is a consultancy background in Internet and Security technologies. Exposure to SaaS (e.g. Microsoft, Salesforce, ServiceNow) and associated Identity platforms (e.g. Okta) is highly preferred
