Join ZERO TO THREE as a Training & Organizational Development Manager, reporting to the Lead EDI Officer and HR Director. This role is responsible for developing and implementing performance management and training strategies, programs, and processes aligned with the organization's commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion. You will serve as the subject matter expert in training and organizational development, leading employee relations matters, and providing mentorship to HR Generalists. The position requires extensive experience in human resources, training, and diversity initiatives. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills are essential. Requirements
- Five to seven years Human Resources work experience
- Ability to interpret human resources policies, procedures, and guidelines
- Proven experience in working with and/or developing diversity, equity, and inclusion programs
- Proven skills in designing training programs
- Strong facilitation skills for diverse audiences in size and scope
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (both verbal and written)
- Self-starter capable of working independently and as a member of a team
- Excellent planning and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, multi-task effectively and carry projects to completion according to deadlines
- High energy, creative, enthusiastic, motivational training style
- Proven ability to build relationships and deepen connections with diverse people, groups, and communities across all races, genders, sexual orientations, and generations
- Must be flexible, compassionate, and a good problem-solver
- Well-developed interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Must be able to effectively communicate information to all levels of the organization
- Strong commitment and alignment of values with those of the organization
- Computer literate with proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, HRIS (Paylocity preferred but not required)
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality, tact, and discretion
- Attention to detail and time management is critical
- Ability to comfortably and competently navigate professional responsibilities and relationships in a remote environment
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience specializing in Human Resources, or Training and Organizational Development
Responsibilities
- Develops and implements organizational learning and development strategy for training initiatives in collaboration with the Lead EDI Officer and HR Director
- Evaluates, monitors, measures and reports the learning and development activities throughout the organization to promote continuous improvement through training needs analysis, developing training plans and identifying training resources and materials
- Develops coaching strategies, implements dialogues that address specific concerns and issues, and oversees resolution of conflicts/disputes relating to diversity and/or cross-cultural initiatives and activities to support a learning culture
- Keeps current on diversity programs and developments by maintaining contact with others in the field (e.g., professional association and educational groups, and professional development efforts)
- Manages and executes the development and implementation of the organization’s performance management program to foster an organizational culture (or environment) of continuous improvement and high performance
- Supports current and future organizational needs through talent management and succession planning
- Analyzes and reports on measurement results
- Develops and conducts presentations and trainings to all levels of staff on performance management process and systems
- Works closely with supervisors/managers in developing and implementing performance improvement plans
- Maintains performance management system
- Provides consultation to staff and managers on a variety of human resource/employee relations matters in consultation with the Lead EDI Officer and HR Director
- Reviews disciplinary matters, writes reports regarding investigations and makes disciplinary recommendations
- Bridge management and employee relations by addressing grievances and other issues
- Completes special projects as needed
- Relaunch and lead Culture Committee and serve as a standing member of the REDI Committee
- Performs other duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the department
