Lead, Treasury Reconciliations

Join Wealthsimple's dynamic Finance team as the Treasury Reconciliations Lead, reporting to the Manager, Money Movement Transformation and Reporting. The ideal candidate possesses a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field, 5+ years of experience in treasury reconciliations, and strong leadership and analytical skills. Requirements

• Has a Bachelor's and/or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in treasury reconciliations or similar financial roles
• Has work experience with SQL or other data analysis tools
• Experience with reconciliation software, preferably BlackLine, Kyriba, Modern Treasury or similar
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements in financial services
• Excellent leadership and team management skills
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee daily reconciliation tasks, including: bank account reconciliations, general ledger account reconciliations, cash flow reconciliations and intercompany reconciliations
• Lead and develop a team through regular meetings and performance management
• Collaborate closely with Finance, Treasury, and Accounting teams on various projects
• Contribute to strategic initiatives, including: implementation and optimization of reconciliation software, streamlining reconciliation processes, and developing automated reconciliation tools
• Enhance internal controls and audit trails. Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements
• Support the implementation of new financial products and services by ensuring proper reconciliation procedures are in place
• Drive process improvements and automation efforts in reconciliation operations
• Assist in enhancing financial reporting accuracy and timeliness
