Summary

The Learning and Development Program Manager at Instructure is responsible for designing and implementing development programs, delivering training sessions, providing coaching and mentoring, assessing leadership potential, and partnering with other HR functions. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in HR, organizational development, psychology, or a related field, relevant certifications, 3 years of work experience, and strong facilitation, presentation, coaching, analytical, project management, communication, and adaptability skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, organizational development, psychology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., coaching certification, leadership development certification) may be beneficial
  • Minimum 3 years of work experience in the Leadership Development or L&D function or other HR function
  • Blend of formal and informal HR and L&D training/education
  • Familiar with various learning theories, instructional design, evaluation & measurement, performance consulting, and needs analysis, etc
  • Strong understanding of leadership and management theories, models, and best practices
  • Excellent facilitation and presentation skills
  • Ability to build rapport and establish trust with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Strong coaching and mentoring skills
  • Analytical skills to assess leadership potential and evaluate program effectiveness
  • Project management skills to plan, execute, and track progress on multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Flexibility and adaptability to navigate ambiguity and change

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement development programs aligned with organizational goals and strategies
  • Facilitate leadership development workshops, seminars, and training sessions for employees at various levels of the organization
  • Provide one-on-one coaching and mentoring to emerging and existing leaders
  • Develop and administer assessments to evaluate leadership potential and performance
  • Partner with other HR functions and business leaders to support broader organizational development initiatives
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in leadership development
