Summary

Join Skillsoft's Strategic Consulting Team as a Strategic Learning Performance Consultant and drive measurable value for clients. You will partner with customers to identify performance gaps, create tailored learning solutions, and manage project delivery. Leveraging your expertise in instructional design and adult learning methodologies, you will develop strategic skilling plans and build strong client relationships. This role requires strong consulting expertise, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of successful engagements. You will collaborate with internal teams and stay current with industry trends to deliver innovative solutions. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in instructional design and a strong consulting background.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in instructional design and development with a strong consulting background, proven track record of successful engagements
  • Strong understanding of learning methodologies and strategies
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and effectively with effective experience with virtual and collaboration web tools
  • Advanced level of desktop application skills (MS365) with ability to learn new technologies and applications quickly as new application skills are required for the position
  • Proficient in data analysis and leveraging insights to drive decisions
  • Experience with strategic skilling planning and learning needs analysis including the delivery of those strategies
  • Strong strategic thinking, project management and organizational skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a team and with clients
  • Experienced practitioner of learning facilitation, leadership development, learning ROI metrics and measurement, and/or learning strategy
  • Ability to manage client relationships and project delivery effectively
  • Currently Reside in Eastern Canada (Ontario preferred) with the ability to travel up to 30%

Responsibilities

  • Partner with customers to identify performance gaps, recommend tailored solutions to address gaps and conduct comprehensive learning needs analysis to identify gaps and opportunities
  • Create and develop strategic skilling plans tailored to customer needs and present solutions to key stakeholders, showcasing measurable business impact
  • Conduct job role analysis to ensure alignment of training with organizational goals
  • Design and develop effective learning strategies to enhance workforce capabilities
  • Manage client relationships, ensuring clear communication and understanding of their needs
  • Oversee project delivery and management, ensuring timely and successful completion of consulting engagements
  • Provide strong consulting expertise to guide clients in their learning and development strategies
  • Present at conferences and facilitate presentations, including designing and leading webinars to share best practices and insights
  • Deliver services for developing and implementing learning and skilling strategies that align with business goals
  • Assist clients with strategic workforce management, ensuring their workforce is prepared for future challenges and opportunities
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their specific solution requirements and provide customized solutions
  • Conduct workshops, assessments, and consultative sessions to align client goals with organizational outcomes
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, ensuring continuous alignment with clientโ€™s evolving needs while identifying whitespace opportunities within client accounts to expand solution adoption
  • Develop a strategic point of view that integrates relevant products and services from our portfolio to address client challenges
  • Collaborate with sales, product, and service teams to ensure seamless delivery of proposed solutions
  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to bring innovative ideas to clients
  • Create and deliver high-impact presentations, proposals, and thought leadership content tailored to the clientโ€™s industry
  • Define and track performance metrics to measure the success of deployed solutions
  • Provide insights and recommendations to clients based on data-driven results and analysis

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with job role analysis and learning path development
  • Knowledge of strategic workforce management principles
  • Advanced literacy in Generative AI, with an understanding of basic prompting is preferred
  • Familiarity with organizational performance frameworks and change management methodologies
