Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in the legal department of a company or at a law firm
  • Qualified to practise as a lawyer in either the UK or Ireland
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Great attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Fluent in English

Responsibilities

  • Identify, map, and understand legal requirements necessary to ensure the Company's compliance with applicable laws and regulations in the UK and Ireland
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and legal frameworks to support business operations in the assigned region
  • Provide expert legal guidance to internal teams on legal and employment matters
  • Respond to legal inquiries from both internal stakeholders and external clients, ensuring comprehensive and timely advice
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with local and global employment regulations
  • Regularly review and update employment-related documents, including but not limited to employment agreements, termination documents, employee handbooks, and other mandatory policies
  • Draft, review, and revise employment contracts, termination agreements, and other relevant employment documents in accordance with local laws and company policies
  • Lead negotiations and review commercial agreements with clients, ensuring that all legal risks are addressed and business objectives are met
  • Collaborate with global teams to ensure that the Company’s employment practices are compliant across different jurisdictions as needed
