Requirements

• A Juris Doctor (J.D.) / LLB / LLM with admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction
• Specialization and strong experience in immigration law is required
• Proven track record of providing immigration legal advice to large businesses, particularly in remote workforce settings
• Ability to articulate complex legal concepts in clear, client-friendly language both in written and verbal formats
• Capable of creating engaging and informative content for international clients
• Experience working with international clients and understanding of cultural diversity in the business context
• Familiarity with legal research tools, case management software, and an understanding of technology platforms used in remote work environments

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal support to clients by understanding their immigration needs and offering tailored advice to help them navigate the complexities of hiring internationally
• Assist with ensuring compliance with immigration regulations for remote workforces across multiple jurisdictions, and provide exceptional client service
• Evaluate clients' business models and offer insights on how their immigration strategy aligns with their hiring and operational goals
• Provide strategic immigration advice for businesses that operate internationally, assessing their workforce needs from a legal standpoint and advising on the best immigration pathways
• Support clients through the inspection process, offering guidance on preparing for audits or inspections from immigration authorities
• Advise on documentation, compliance requirements, and potential risk areas to ensure clients' operations continue smoothly across multiple countries
• Develop clear, engaging, and accurate content that outlines immigration processes, legal requirements, and business strategies for employers hiring in various countries
• This content will serve as a resource for Deel's clients, providing them with up-to-date knowledge on immigration laws, work permits, and visa processes globally
• Coordinate with internal teams and legal professionals in various countries to provide seamless, comprehensive legal support to Deel’s global client base
• Ensure that immigration processes align with different legal frameworks across jurisdictions, maintaining a smooth workflow for clients and minimizing risks
• Stay informed about the latest trends, changes, and developments in immigration laws across different regions
• Regularly update and refine Deel’s immigration policies and legal guidelines to ensure clients receive the best possible advice
• Preparing and drafting of both application submissions and appeals
