Summary

Join OFX, a global leader in online international payments, as a fully remote Legal Counsel based in the UK or Ireland. This exciting opportunity offers variety and challenge, supporting the EMEA Senior Legal Counsel and collaborating with a worldwide legal team. You will draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, proactively identify legal risks, and assist with company secretarial matters. The role requires a law degree, current practicing certificate, and significant experience in commercial law. Requirements

  • Law degree with superior academic credentials from a nationally-recognised law school
  • Current practicing certificate
  • Minimum 2-5+ years PQE
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a commercial, finance or banking team with a top tier law firm
  • Excellent analytical, written and oral communication and relationship-building skills
  • A commercial and pragmatic attitude and the ability to communicate effectively
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Must be able to work independently and efficiently in a client-centric, fluid environment handling multiple tasks and projects concurrently while maintaining the highest standards and attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Drafting, reviewing, negotiating and executing a range of commercial contracts
  • Proactively identifying and advising on legal and regulatory risks, escalating those as necessary to stakeholders and assisting with recommending and implementing solutions
  • Working collaboratively with members of the global Legal team and business stakeholders on global initiatives
  • Assisting with Company Secretarial matters
