Legal Counsel

Summary

The job is for a Legal Counsel – Commercial & Privacy role at Pactum, a fast-growing B2B SaaS startup. The candidate will handle legal matters, work cross-functionally with key stakeholders, and negotiate with Fortune 500 companies. The position requires relevant experience, a deep understanding of privacy laws, an LLM/Master’s degree in law, and strong collaboration skills.

Requirements

• Have 5+ years of relevant experience in in-house legal department or at a well respected law firm, or equivalent experience
• Have a deep understanding of privacy laws and regulations and their developments for a startup with global reach
• Have an LLM/Master’s degree in law from a reputable university
• Have excellence and accuracy in legal drafting and negotiating various sophisticated and complex agreements

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate and manage the full lifecycle of various commercial agreements
• Drive efforts to comply with global data privacy laws and regulations
• Review commercial and product initiatives from a legal and compliance perspective
• Identify opportunities for improvement in processes, tools, templates, policies, knowledge management and other related areas
• Conduct legal research and analysis where required
• Provide practical legal advice and prepare legal documents where required
• Work cross-functionally with teams such as Sales, Product, Marketing, People, Security and Finance
• Handle legal coordination and administrative tasks where required
• Respond to other ad hoc legal requests and provide legal guidance where required
